Live Action Aladdin Film Review
Cast- Will Smith, Naomi Scott, Mena Massoud and Marwan Kenzari
Director- Guy Ritchie
Synopsis- Another live-action remake of one of Disney's animated classics "Aladdin" is a story about a street rat Aladdin who is courageous yet self- determined to win over Princess Jasmine and the only way to make this possible is through the Genie as it is believed that the Genie is the key to Aladdin's future with the Princess.
Review- Again another good live-action remake from Disney it is one of the better ones you'll be pleased to hear again like Dumbo there were changes to the storyline but they weren't as drastic as Dumbo more subtle was the approach used. The stand out in the film is the Genie such as a refreshing approach to this well-loved character, I was unsure purely because I love the original Genie but I thought Will Smith's take on this character was outstanding. The music was at it's normal Disney standard outstanding however with this live-action remake a new song was added a solo for Jasmine and wow what a tune the voice and song were one another level hats off to Alan Menken on creating such as masterpiece of a Princess solo. I felt like this film was the love child of the original animation and the musical version and I was down for that. It is however not my favourite live-action Christopher Robi still has that crown, for now, Lion King is not out yet so who knows. personally, I think Aladdin is well worth seeing as it is an amazing live action remake for reference below I am going to put my favourite live actions in order so it is easy to see where Aladdin and others stand in the grand scheme of live-action remakes.
