Duffy and Friends
It was all started by Duffy The Disney Bear. Duffy is a bear that mini made mickey so he would not be lonely when he went out to sea. There is a storybook based on Duffy's origin story that can be purchased in the Disney Parks. It has been spotted in both US Disney Parks. Duffy has become a Disney parks wide phenomenon. this is good because it shows that Duffy has made a positive impact amongst Disney fans. He is available in of the Disney parks worldwide.
Different outfits for Duffy can be purchased throughout the Disney parks the majority of outfits spotted have been Duffy sized version of Disney character costumes. This is good because it gives people who buy a Duffy bear lots of clothing options. These outfits can be bought in all of the Disney parks worldwide but there might potentially be some differences in what available in different countries. Also over time, some outfits may end up discounted in the Disney Character Warehouse in the US. This is not good as guest could potentially get their hopes up in buying a specific outfit for their Duffy bear that is not available in their closest Disney park. but it is also good as someone may be able to pick up an outfit for their Duffy bear at a discounted price. This is good as people can buy Shellie May from all of the Disney parks. This is also good because it means that people can buy both Duffy and Shellie May when they visit a Disney park.
Also, Shellie May has outfits and similar to Duffy her outfits are based on different Disney characters. Also, some of the outfits will vary between different Disney parks. This is good as guests can buy matching couples outfits for their Duffy and Shellie May. Also, outfits for Shellie May are available in the Disney parks and some of her outfits are available at a discounted price in the Disney Character Warehouse. Gelatoni also comes with different outfits that guests can buy in the different Disney parks he is available in. Gelatoni is not available in the American Disney parks so this means that guests will not be able to pick up outfits for Gelatoni is the Disney Character Warehouse. This is not good because guests cannot buy anything related to Gelatoni at a discounted price. Below are some of the limited examples of outfits available for Gelatoni.
Last year another one of Duffy's friends was released this time is was Stella Lou, she is also different from the previous three plushes as she is a rabbit. She is the most popular Duffy and Friends and is a hot ticket at the moment going for very expensive prices online. Similar to Gelatoni, Stella Lou does not have a storybook about her origin story. This is not good as guests might want origin books for all of the Duffy and Friends characters. Stella Lou is available in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. This is not good as Duffy and Friends fans from the western side of the globe cannot buy a Stella Lou plush without paying expensive prices on an online website such as eBay.

Recently Hong Kong Disneyland has announced that Duffy's newest friends are being released in July of this year. Duffy's newest friend is called Cookie and she is a dog. As this is only an announcement Cookie is only available so far in Hong Kong but it is likely that she is going to be released in both Tokyo and Shanghai. It is very likely that Cookie is going to be a hot ticket and will be going for a lot of money on places such as eBay. There has been nothing yet that has started whether Cookie will get an origin story but most likely this will not be the case. It is likely that Cookie will get outfits but there won't be anything released until the plush has been released. This is good as it shows that Duffy and Friends are growing in popularity this hopefully means that there will be more Duffy and Friends characters released in the future.
Also, there has been a sneak peek released of a new Duffy and Friend character being released in the Aulani resort in Hawaii. The sneak peek picture just shows the character behind some greenery, only the characters arm can be seen in the picture. Looking at the picture it looks like the new Duffy and Friends character could be a crocodile, it is bound to be an animal that is either native to Hawaii or has links with Hawaii. Let's just hope that this exclusive does not ruin what is an already perfect line of plush. This good as it shows the popularity of the Duffy and Friends franchise. Alos this is not good as this plush looks like it is different from the way the others plushes look.
